About the Production
Our production of Hamlet begins and ends in stillness: nine figures stand in a suspended world, each holding a skull. From this haunting image unfolds a Denmark ruled by grief, spectacle and fear, where King Hamlet’s funeral is swiftly eclipsed by Claudius’s coronation and marriage to Gertrude.
As Hamlet is drawn into a deadly demand for revenge, the palace becomes a place of spying, performance and betrayal. Through powerful ensemble storytelling, fractured memories and moments of intimate human connection, this production follows Hamlet’s struggle to uncover the truth without losing himself to it. In the aftermath of the final duel, the next generation takes its place, asking whether a kingdom can ever truly escape the cycles of violence that shaped it.
