Step into our captivating world of contemporary dance, where we offer a diverse array of classes specially curated for children aged between 3 & 18. Our primary goal is to ignite and nurture a genuine love for this wonderfully fluid modern dance style.
Our contemporary classes are meticulously guided by a highly qualified Rambert Grades-accredited teacher, who brings their expertise to the forefront. Embracing the revolutionary contemporary grades program, we provide our students with a rare and invaluable opportunity to partake in examinations in Contemporary dance, ultimately earning esteemed Ofqual accreditations. This unique journey of growth and development empowers our students to become accomplished dancers and confident performers.

CREATIVE MOVERS (AGES 3 - 7)
Celebrating movement at the earliest stage, Rambert Grades Creative Dance classes encourage each child to explore movement, develop physical skills, harness musicality and encourage confidence.
Each class takes children on an imaginary journey with endless themes. An energetic warm-up is followed by physical skills development, as children learn structured movement material. Creative intuition is encouraged with a closing creative exploration to dive deep into their imagination. Swimming with whales, flying rockets to the moon or adventuring through the desert- every class is different.
As children move through three grades, Creative Movers, Pre-Primary and Primary, we celebrate six qualities: Communication, Teamwork, Generosity, Effort, Listening and Enthusiasm.
In line with Grades 1-8 this syllabus is a fully accessible offering which celebrates all dancers in all bodies.
RAMBERT GRADED SYLLABUS (AGES 8+)
Rambert Grades is a pioneering contemporary dance syllabus born from the partnership between two of the world’s leading contemporary dance organisations: Rambert and Rambert School.
Across eleven grades, the syllabus offers students the opportunity to develop lifelong skills. Rambert Grades encourages young people to own their individuality, be playful, work in a present manner, think independently, relate with others and have confidence in decision-making while learning and embodying our three strands, Technique, Performance and Creative.
The Rambert Grades syllabus is progressive and inclusive and is designed to be accessible to people from all backgrounds.
Rambert Grades teachers are taught to promote a safe environment where physical explorations can exist without rigidity, yet with focus, discipline and collaboration. Students are seen as individuals and encouraged to express their ideas and discover their unique voices.
Each grade includes exploring how to create material and improvise, learning all elements of technical skill to the highest standard, from floorwork to complex leaps, and performing solo material from renowned choreographers, Hofesh Shechter and Alesandra Seutin.
Rambert Grades is an awarding organisation recognised by Ofqual.
