Jess Yeo

Soloist Choreograpaher

Jess has been training at The London Contemporary Dance School’s Centre for Advanced Training for the past 6 years. Here she has been training in Contemporary Technique and choreography. Through this programme, she has created and performed pieces with companies including Richard Alston, Rambert and Random Dance who have all inspired her love for choreography. To further her versatility, Jess trained with Avant Garde Youth where she learnt to fuse hip-hop, contemporary and musicality. Underpinning this is Jess’ love for classical ballet and strong classical technique, she has studied this style since the age of 8 with RLSB. During her classical training she has managed to Reach Advanced One with Distinction as well as performing in various productions culminating in the Lead role of Clara in “The Nutcracker”. She is fortunate to have the opportunity to share her passions for dance with students aged 2-7 at the RLSB as a teaching assistant.

Jess began her professional career by working on MKDT's production of "Romeo & Juliet" as assistant choreographer and will now take on her first full length production. We are delighted to have Jess sharing her wide and varied experience with MKDT once again and believe she can help to bring the company to its full potential.
